Cocogoose Font

Cocogoose is one of the most font family of Zetafonts. It is a sans serif typeface with geometric proportions, extremely low contrast and slightly rounded corners, and it is the first typeface of the Coco series, an on-going investigation on the design evolution of gothic fonts throughout the centuries. Cocogoose extreme x-height and ultrabold weight (with regular being comparable to heavy weights of other typefaces), have since then made it very popular for effective display and logo use, also thanks to decorative versions like Cocogoose Letterpress. Since 2016, Andrea Tartarelli has been refining the typeface to extend the original glyph set to include the Cyrillic and Greek alphabets and extend the family range with additional weights, widths, and italics which brought the total count of Cocogoose variants to 52.

In 2019, Francesco Canovaro has teamed with Andrea Tartarelli and Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini to create a new variant subfamily: Cocogoose Classic with an accompanying package of eight styles and italics. Cocogoose Classic also retains the original design of the uppercase and creates new design for lowercase, with a slightly descendent x-height, round dots and more open-type features, such as positional numerals, alternates, and some ligatures, adding more than 1000 glyphs.
